Sovereign Entertainment began as Royalty Records in 1996. Our founder Gabriel "King G" Kamakahi aka thee" World Famous DJ Kamakazi" sought to create, produce, and promote rap music in Hawaii. With no resources at his disposal he ventured into developing his own record label and management agency. Mainstream radio wasn't playing rap and the internet was in its infancy. Selling cassette tapes out of his backpack and DJ'n any party or concert, he was able to share rap music to the islands and introduce rap to a new market. 20 years later he is still mixing and producing music. looking to promote new artists, produce new hits, and a never ending love for turning a party out.
